Maximize Your Income
A physician organization or ACO exists for three primary reasons: to enhance the profitability of each organization member, to help improve quality, and to help the organization to meet its mission and goals.
Those are great goals…if you achieve them. Unfortunately, many IPAs, PHOs, or ACOs have no clear idea what to do and how to do it once they're formed. That's where we can help.
We manage multiple provider organizations on the east coast, and help them achieve the goals they've set for themselves. We focus special attention on practical tools and education to improve profitability and simplify contracting. We also stay on top of "what's next" so that your organization is well-positioned for the future.

Diversify Your Services
We can also help you set up a third-party administrator (TPA) that will provide additional revenue to your organization through the processing of insurance claims. Learn more about Resolve Health Plan Administrators and how it can position your organization for success.
Note: we recommend that your organization also retain legal representation, since Joel S. Duhl, Inc. does not provide legal advice.
- Start-up and organizationWe can help your group organize, elect a board, set priorities, plan and run board meetings, and formulate ways to communicate with members.
- Market analysis and strategic planningWe analyze the payors in the organization's service area to identify the best opportunities. This information is used to form a strategic plan for the organization for the next two years. It will identify contracting opportunities, potential third-party administrators, and other important resources.
Contract negotiationWe will handle all of the complexities of contract negotiation. This could include contracts for the physician organization as a whole, as well as contracts desired by one or more individual practices. We will help all members understand every proposal by showing each practice how the proposed contract would have impacted their business in the previous year, using a historical CPT analysis.
- Group purchasing programsWe will help coordinate group purchasing terms for items such as malpractice insurance coverage, office supplies, medical supplies, and other materials as requested. Often we are able to secure even greater discounts by offering programs to all of our participating physician organizations.
- EducationWe will coordinate speakers and educational opportunities as requested around the issues that are most important to the physician organization.
